Thoughts from a Sandwich

This blog is designed to track the Thursday evening conversations that UIUC BASIC student organization is having on the book "The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism" by Timothy Keller and other random questions about God asked by those present during these conversations.

Last semester, we began thinking about apologetics and how we as BASIC discuss Christianity and decided to do a summer series on this topic.  During our search for material to bounce off of, Pastor Scott came across the blog Thoughts from a Sandwich and the author's discussion of the book "The Questions Christian Hope No One will Ask".  The author, an atheist, brings up some interesting rebuttals to this book and also further asks questions that Christians do have trouble finding answers to.  Our hope, through this study, is to broach these and other hard questions and come to a deeper understanding of our own beliefs.

We want this blog to create an additional arena for discussion on topics important to the Christian faith.  Please contribute to this discussion, whether or not you actually are able to attend the Thursday evening meetings.

  2. I have a really close Athiest friend who has said to me that since no one religion is more valid than any other, and since all religions can't be true, then none of them must be true. That's one reason he is an Atheist and believes that even if there is a God we can't know him. Scott
