Can God make a rock that he can't lift?

In our opening discussion, we mulled over some questions we have encountered or asked about Christianity.  Please add your own questions to the following list.

Questions we have heard about Christianity:
- Why is there suffering? (death, torture, slavery, disease, etc.)
- What proof do you have for God, Bible, Christianity?
- Do we have free will or are we predestined?
- If God knows everything then he knows, before people are even created, their ultimate eternity. (The balance between omniscient and free will)
- How could a loving God command suffering?  How could he command his people to slaughter entire people groups? (see Old Testament)
- What makes Christianity unique from other religions?
- How could God send "morally" good people to hell and spare those who are immoral but still Christians?
- How do we know our prayers are making a difference?  What real difference do our prayers make?
- If Jesus' death is the ultimate sacrifice, does that mean that there are still limitations?  If there aren't limitations, then does anyone really go to hell?
- Can God tell a lie?

  1. Some more that I thought up:

How can we believe in an unseen God?
If Christianity is one religion, why are there so many variations (via denominations)?
Why are people born with imperfections?
    Why do babies die?
    Why are people unhappy?
Can we really say that God is love?

  2. Can God change his mind?
If God is Good, how can He allow Evil to exist... or better yet, how can he be a 'cause' of evil by, at times, ordaining that it must happen (think Jesus dying for our sins. Ordaining his son to be cruelly crucified on a cross and mocked by the people he was dying to save)?
Why isn't the church in the US (can't speak for anywhere else) anything like the Bible describes?
Does God CAUSE evil or merely allow it to happen? Is there a difference, does it matter if he causes it or allows it?
